Bio: A third world country, an urban alternative school, and a rural Midwest setting, provided a variety of opportunities to reinforce my ability to teach effectively in both public and private education. This pedagogic journey focused on ensuring classroom methods remain fresh, never stagnant, and the pursuit of knowledge a continual adventure.

Promotion to rank of full professor, requires clear evidence of performance in support of MidAmerica Nazarene University’s values toward scholarship, people and faith. Based on the Qualifications for Appointment to Faculty Rank (3.1.3) in the Faculty Handbook, I have met each of the criteria listed for Full Professor Rank:
Committee assessment of my performance will recognize the importance of both teaching and research and the extension of these efforts beyond the borders of the MNU campus to support the educational community. The quality and quantity of portfolio outcomes reveal creativity, collaborative efforts, scholarly research, and a positive impact on the field of teacher preparation, the school of education, and the candidates we serve.
